The Australia Day long weekend is set to be a busy time for the town with the All Roads Lead Back to Forbes Reunion drawing many former locals.

Hosted by the Forbes Sport and Recreation Club, the reunion weekend begins at 5pm on Friday, January 26, with a meet and greet along with an auction of rare sports memorabilia.
The auction will include a NRL guernsey signed by St George Legends Reg Gasnier, John Raper, Billy Smith and Graeme Langlands.
Other items up for auction are boxing gloves donated by renowned boxer Jeff Fenech.
The proceeds of the auction will be donated to charity organisation Can Assist.
Saturday plays host to the main event – the Back to Forbes Reunion with live entertainment from 6pm through the evening.
Music from the 60s, 70s and 80s will feature with local bands The Echoettes, Freight and Rumour Has It giving live performances.
A cover charge of $25 will be in place for the main event on Saturday night which covers the cost of finger food and live entertainment throughout the night.
Any extra proceeds from the cover charge will be donated to local charity organisation Can Assist, said Forbes Sport and Recreation Club Manager Norm Cook.
Sunday, the final day of the weekend, is a rest and recovery day with a gold coin donation barbecue brunch on the deck at 11am.
The proceeds of the barbecue will also be donated to Can Assist.
In the lead up to the reunion, members of the community can purchase “We grew up in Forbes and are proud of it” t-shirts.
The shirts come in red, black, blue and green and cost $35.
The memorabilia shirts can be purchased from local store Painted Daisies in the lead up to the Back to Forbes Reunion event or at the Sports and Recreation Club on the night.
Tickets for the reunion can be be bought on the day at the Forbes Sport and Recreation Club or pre-ordered by calling the Club on 6852 1499.
Event organisers urge people who are coming to purchase their tickets beforehand to avoid queues on the night.
Mr Cook said the whole weekend should have a relaxed atmosphere.
The reunion was last held in 2016 and was a great success, attracting a large turnout.
Mr Cook hopes that this reunion will be just as successful and expects a similar turnout for this year.
A huge weekend continues on Monday when the Queen’s baton arrives in Forbes. The baton relay began at Buckingham Palace on March 13 and will finish at the Gold Coast on April 4.
