The Forbes Services Memorial Club has raised $17,395,000 for six local community organisations through their Community Chest Charity Raffle Program.

The recipient organisations this year were Red Bend Junior Rugby League, Forbes View Club, Forbes Junior Cricket, Rotary Club of Forbes Ipomea, Forbes Historical Society and Forbes CanAssist.

President of Forbes Services Memorial Club Wayne Richards said the raffle program is a community fundraising initiative made in addition to the ClubGrants Program.

“All financial assistance is aimed at helping as many local groups as possible,” Mr Richards said.

Forbes Services Memorial Club CEO David Fitzgerald said the money could not have been raised without the help of members and guests purchasing raffle tickets every Wednesday and Friday night.
