The launch will be held at the Bogan Gate Hall from 10am to 2pm with Dr Mark Worthing and Robyn Lewis speaking from 11am.
Both Dr Worthing and Ms Lewis have been touched personally by suicide.
Rural Adversity Mental Health Consultant (RAMHP) Di Gill said members of the Lachlan Area Suicide Prevention Network have been working tirelessly over the last twelve months to get information out to the community.
“We now invite the wider community to join us and spread the news that suicide is not the only option,” she said.
“During 2015 more than 3,000 people died by suicide - that’s about eight people per day and six of the eight were likely to have been male.
“It is time we as a community come together to prevent more unnecessary deaths.”
There will be mental health information and resources available, as well as a jumping castle, snow cones and face painting for the kids, plus a free barbecue lunch.
All welcome!
