That annual award is for the person members feel has contributed most to the club in the previous 12 months.
However, before the AGM the normal monthly business meeting will be held and Ray Martin should be inducted as a new member.
Last month the guest speaker was Kate Englebrecht, now the owner of the Masonic Lodge building in Lachlan Street.
The Lodge was built in 1923 and Kate now lives on the premises having renovated the back part of the building into an open plan apartment.
Having studied Judaism, Christianity and Islam, Kate is keen to hold community discussions about the three.
Because it is AGM day there will be no guest speaker, the AGM takes the latter half of the meeting after morning tea. – Dennis Booth
The Ladies Probus Club last month welcomed president Wendy Adams of Vinnies and Helen Smith.
They are in need of volunteers, ladies and men but especially men to empty bins.
Our next meeting is the AGM and we are hoping to have a good attendance.
To welcome the guests, Mary Everson and Carmel Murray. Membership subs are due $25 to be handed to Elvy in an envelope.
There are seats available on the bus to Canberra on April 9 for four days and three nights, if you are interested contact Pam or Allan Toole. – Lyn Simmonds
