Member for Orange Phil Donato was in Forbes on Monday to present the Grazing team with a $3,768 grant for 15 demountable structures to provide shade and shelter for caterers at the event.
Mr Donato congratulated Forbes on their hard work to put together the extremely successful Grazing event – slated for September 22.
Chair of Grazing Down the Lachlan Wendy Muffet was delighted to hear the shade structures would be funded.
“This funding for the shade structures is such a boost for us and will ensure we can continue to add value to our event without us having find the finance and we are looking forward to another successful event this year,” she said.
Grazing launched in 2017 and saw more than 700 people spend an afternoon walking along the travelling stock route by the river, enjoying fine food.
This year will see the event continue to grow.
