Event organiser Shaun Read said numbers were down from previous years due to the gusty weather and amount of other events in the region.
Despite this, an estimated 1,500 to 2,000 people came through the gates to watch the thrills and spills of the rodeo.
Mr Read said the rodeo was really good considering the weather and all events featured lots of good competition.
There were plenty of entrants for all of the events, with cowboys from various parts of the country taking out awards.
Current Australian Saddle Bronc Riding champion Ben Lees showed off his skills when he won the Saddle Bronc Ride.
Among the other winners were Darcy Kersh who took out first place in calf roping and Tim Richardson who won the steer wrestling event.
The Jaye Davis Memorial Steer Ride was a popular event, seeing many local riders battle it out for the buckle.
This year, the buckle was won by Jasper Mackey with 95 points, edging out last year’s winner – Ben Molloy.
The bucking bull of the year, Eye Candy, who has so far resisted all attempts to ride out the time on him has extended his streak.
The talented rider from Yass, Josh Bush who was assigned to Eye Candy, was unable to stay the distance.
Results for the Paddy Molloy All Round Buckle are still being collated.
This is the first year that the Paddy Molloy All Round Buckle will be presented and is named in honour of Paddy who had a long association with the rodeo.
To be eligible to win the buckle, competitors need to compete in both timed and roughstock events.
Mr Read said he’d like to thank the Forbes Services Memorial Club and all of the rodeo’s sponsors for their help in staging the event.
Mr Read said he would also like to thank the members of the Forbes community for their energetic support of the rodeo and for their behaviour during the event.
