Kerry Dunstan’s charity walk from Condobolin to Forbes has raised a total of $56,700 for local charities.

The long time CanAssist volunteer walked through the night and day from Condobolin on his 70th birthday with several other people to raise money for CanAssist and Forbes Breast Cancer Support Group.
Mr Dunstan said he was very happy with the result, and it was an amazing effort.
John Schrader from CanAssist said the result of Kerry’s walk was amazing and added that Forbes was a very generous town.
Funds for CanAssist Forbes will help support individuals with cancer.
CanAssist helps meet costs travel and accommodation expenses for patients travelling to see doctors, or treatment and pharmacy expenses.
“We rely heavily on donations such as Kerry’s walk. It guarantees that we can provide the level of assistance that we do,” Mr Schrader said.
“We really would like to congratulate the nine walkers for their magnificent effort – it was an amazing achievement.”
Mr Schrader said their aim is to help anyone in the Forbes district who is diagnosed or undergoing treatment for cancer.

Yvonne Shaw from the Forbes Breast Cancer Support Group said that they would like to congratulate Kerry on the walk and it was an amazing effort.
Funds for the Forbes Breast Cancer Support Group will go towards refurbishing the Forbes room within Orange’s Care Western Lodge and an electric lift/recliner for the Forbes Palliative Care unit.
“We would like to thank Kerry and the walkers and community for how generous they are,” Mrs Shaw said.
If you would like to get involved with a fundraising walk, you can head Lions Park on May 13 and take part in the Mother’s Day Classic.
The Forbes Breast Cancer Support Group has been organising the Mothers Day Classic in Forbes for the last four years.
Mrs Shaw said the event is about raising awareness of breast cancer as well as supporting breast cancer research.
To join the Mother’s Day Classic in Forbes, you can register online beforehand or turn up and walk on the day.
Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for children and concession holders.
