Seventy one players from fifteen clubs played at Forbes over the weekend in ideal conditions, a good course always attracts people to our town. Saturday Winners in the 4BBB Handicap sponsored by Painted Daises was our local girls Fran Smith and Ethel Coombs with 42 points on a countback from Jenny Hubbard and Libby Godden. Scratch Winners Sponsored by Woolerina was Sharon Grierson and Bess Shields on 19 points with the runners up from Mudgee on 18 points on a countback this was sponsored by Forbes Pro Shop.
Sunday was a shotgun start followed by a good Sunday Roast at the club which everyone enjoyed and then the presentation conducted by our President Alison Kingston and Captain Robin Lyell. Visitors and locals shared the prizes.
Division One Winner Scratch was Katrina Ferris of Bathurst with 86. Runner Up on count-back Denise Haesler Wellington 89. Handicap Winner Cathy Cox Mudgee 75 on a countback from Denise Squires of Forbes. Stableford Winner Jenny Fletcher Fletcher of Forbes 33 on a count-back from Annette Thomas Canowindra. The 9 hole winner on the front nine was Val Drogemulloer 19 from Grenfell and back nine Eileen Wilson Canberra 17 on a countback.
Division Two Winner Sally Crosby, Forbes with 98 and Runner Up Marie Crawford from Duntraleague 99. Handicap Winner Colleen Venables Forbes 77 and Runner Up Anne Coates Cowra with 78. Stableford Winner Karen Solberg Dunedoo 30 on a countback from Julie Scott of Grenfell. The 9 hole winner on front nine was Collette Armstrong Canberra with 15 and on the back nine Sally Mitton from Grenfell with 18.
Division Three Winner Scratch Bev Gerdes of Forbes with 105 on a countback from Debborah Dingwall also of Forbes. Handicap winner was Julie Wood 76 with Sarah Black 77 both from Forbes. Stableford winner also from Forbes was Libby Godden on 32 with the Runner up from Wellington on 30 . Front nine winner was Enid Baker on 15 from a countback from Teresa Armitage both from Forbes.
