Central West Local Land Services is hosting a drought information session at Bogabigil - about 8km out of Forbes on the Bedgerabong Road – on Tuesday.
Regional vet, Dr Jillian Kelly, will be attending along with Forbes-based district vet Dr Nik Cronin.
The day is described as “very informal” and will include a presentation from Dr Kelly on animal health and nutrition in times of drought.
Producers are urged to bring their questions along, it’s all about helping make plans going into winter.
It’s also about having a chat and providing each other with support.
The Department of Primary Industries lists Forbes as a “drought onset” area and the website has a number of tools including a feed calculator.
Tuesday’s session is from 9-11am at the shearing shed at Bogabigal. The shed is about 2km from the turnoff.
Registration – to David Trengove on 0419 985 878 or david.trengove@lls.nsw.gov.au – will help organisers provide morning tea.
