Women’s Bowling
It is a pleasure to be out on the greens at this time of the year as the autumn days are perfect. We saw four rinks playing socially with two games of pairs and two games of triples. Jan Waugh and Lyn Elliott had a tied game with Judy Girot and Pat Hodson while Annette Tisdell and Kay Toohey were too good for Colleen Liebich and Alison Cutcliffe defeating them easily.
Carmel Murray Loris Stewart and Anne Nixon defeated Anne Walker Robyn Mattiske and Alice Allen with Lyn Simmonds Pam Stevens and Margaret O’Connell on the winning rink of the day defeating Sandra Priest Noela Girot and Leslie Dunstan It was great to see Alice Allen out having her first game for the year.
Happy Birthday to Carmel Murray who enjoyed the theatre production of ‘Legally Blonde ‘ in Orange on her day Anne Walker was the lucky winner for the meat tray The Spider competition was won by Noela Girot with the proceeds raised going to the Royal Far West helping country families when treatment is needed in Sydney. This week we will see more Minor Singles matches with Lesley Dunstan versus Elyssa Cunningham and Kay Toohey versus Glenys Ryan.
A committee meeting was held with final summarising of our mini carnival discussed and reports of competitions held also a reminder that now we have the book open for the triples and fours competition so ladies get your teams sorted and names in. Just a reminder to all that our annual subs are due by May 31 and payable to Dawyn Harvey our Treasurer. Social Bowls will also be played so ring your name in to the club between 9am and 9.30am and you will be in a team Looking forward to seeing you all for a 10am start
