The open day gave visitors the chance to check out the fire trucks, stations, meet and learn more about the vital work carried out by firefighters.
The local brigade has thanked Bernardi’s and the Council for supporting the event with the sausage sizzle and helium balloons.
The key message from this year’s fire station open day is “keep looking while cooking” – firefighters urge everyone to be vigilant around the stovetop.
If you do have an oil or fat fire ignite, be sure to smother it with a fire blanket or use an appropriate fire extinguisher.
