The day is a fundraiser for the charity, supported by netball associations across NSW, when hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised by netballers over the years it has been running.
All players are asked to dress up in their craziest clothes, with no uniforms to be worn. All players must wear joggers when they play and umpire. Dressing up is a gold coin donation, and anyone not able to dress up is asked to donate $5. A barbeque will be operating, and sausage sandwiches will be sold for $1 each.
A 100 club will also be operating on the day, with numbers for sale at the office. Prizes will be awarded to the Best Dressed NetSetGo player, and in Divisions 1, 2 and 3, prizes will be awarded to the Best Hair and Best Socks.
An overall prize will also be given to the Best Dressed team.
Friday Netball: Continues each week, where players can improve their skills and play games. Boys and girls do not have to be registered with FNA, and do not have to play Saturday competition to participate. Friday netball is free, and runs from 5pm till 6pm each week.
Regional carnivals: Coming to an end with Dubbo carnival this weekend, and Parkes carnival Sunday week. An 11 years team has been entered for both carnivals, and anyone who would like to play in either carnival must put their name down at the office on Saturday. A bus will be running to Dubbo, and Parkes will be private transport.
There are still teams that do not have a coach or manager . Teams looking for coaches/managers are division 2-Magpies and Swifts, and division 3-Koalas and Possums.
Canteen duty: Thank you to the parents of the older teenagers who are starting off the canteen each week, and to the volunteers who have volunteered through the day. This week, parents of players in Magpies are asked to volunteer time in the canteen.
Draw for Saturday May 26: There is still time for new players, both boys and girls, to join teams. Please come to the courts on Saturday.
