Students from Forbes North Public school and it’s Link Up program were among the last groups to participate in the program this year – and their reactions are captured in these photos and videos.
The program is currently in its fifth year and is aimed at children between 3-8 years.
Food Revolution Ambassador, Lucy Pearce said they have delivered tasting plates of fresh fruit and vegetables to 700 students with the program this year.
This year, the program had students trying apple, pear, passionfruit, pineapple, tomato, green beans, cauliflower and red cabbage.
If those sound like foods that mum and dad might have trouble convincing the kids to try at home, it’s amazing what a little peer pressure can do.
Mrs Pearce said this year had been fantastic and they had a lot of positive feedback about the program.
The Real Food Tasting workshops were once again sponsored by Woolworths Forbes who donate all the fresh fruit and vegetables.
“We would like to thank Forbes Woolworths for their continued support and sponsoring for it,” Mrs Pearce said.
