Two people were airlifted to Liverpool Hospital after a head-on collision on the Escort Way on Thursday night.

The 48-year-old man and 25-year-old woman were in separate vehicles that hit head on about 2km past Littles Road about 6.25pm, police said.
Both were trapped in their vehicles for some time as State Emergency Services worked to free them.
The man remained in a critical condition early Friday morning, the woman was in a stable condition, police said.
The cause of the crash is unknown but the police crash investigation unit is investigating.
The Escort Way was closed for nine hours overnight.
Local emergency services personnel from fire and ambulance services all attended.
