Police are investigating two assaults that occurred on Sunday evening in Forbes.

A 22-year-old Forbes man has been arrested and charged in relation to an alleged assault in Lachlan Street about 6.30pm.
A male victim sustained facial injuries in the event, it is alleged he was punched in the face several times.
Police are still looking into a second assault – unrelated – about 8.30pm in Camp Street the same night.
A male sustained minor injuries in the incident.
In other police news, they are also investigating two break-ins that occurred before the weekend.
A significant quantity of alcohol was stolen in a break-in at a local sports club and hotel last Thursday night.
Police said offenders took a range of drinks as well as cash from the location.
The theft has occurred between 10.30pm Thursday and 8am Friday.
A church in Rankin Street was broken into but it does not appear anything was stolen.
The door had been forced some time between last Sunday evening and Friday morning, a police spokesperson said.
This follows break-ins on two other local churches in recent weeks.
An overhead projector was stolen from one church, a small amount of cash and an iPod from the other.

Police are investigating the theft of eight hay bales worth $1500 from a property on the Nelungaloo Road.
It appears the bales were taken from an open hay shed between Sunday, May 27 and Wednesday May 30.
