Our president spoke briefly on some details for our upcoming biannual flower show in October. Tuppy reminded us of the need for volunteers to sell tickets in our raffle.
Sue Ann Nixon from Forbes North School spoke on the kitchen garden program they have running at the school.
It has been a popular activity for the children and there is rarely a shortage of volunteers, many of them taking the opportunity to learn about the different species of veggies from different countries.
Thanks were extended to Sue Ann for coming along to be speaker at our meeting.
The lunch at the RSL club with George Noad as speaker will take the place of our usual June meeting.
Bookings with payment will be accepted until Thursday June 21 by ringing Tuppy on 6852 1169 or Janette on 68522 2347.
You are reminded that the lunch is 11.30am for a midday start.
Members are asked to wear their name badges. No flower of the month or trading table.
There will be a table for the display of antiques and collectables so if you have any bring them along.
July meeting is at the Northside Chapel on Tuesday July 24 at 1.30pm.
Flower of the month for May was first Celia Todd, second Ann Read, third John Browne and Sylvia Glasson.
