Cabonne Council will close the road to the summit of Mount Canobolas at 10am on Saturday due to forecast snow on the weekend.

In a statement on its website, the council said "if [the]weather deteriorates sooner than predicted the road will be closed sooner".
"It is expected some local roads will be closed as well."
Drivers are reminded it is an offence to ignore the closure.
According to weatherzone.com.au, Sunday morning appears the most likely time snow will fall, with the temperature tipped to fall to an icy -1 degrees in the early hours and not rise beyond 4 degrees for the next 24 hours in Orange.
Forbes can expect a share in the icy weather with a forecast top temperature of 9 on Sunday with a westerly wind.
There is a chance of 1-5mm rain both Saturday and Sunday.
