Forbes recorded a top temperature of just 8.6 degrees on Sunday, but with the wind chill it didn’t even feel that warm.
Monday was heading for a forecast top of 14 degrees but it hadn’t reached that at time of finalising publication. A southwesterly breeze was cooling things down by about two degrees.
The weekend’s change did deliver a little rain.
Forbes had a total 5.4mm rain between Saturday and Monday morning, bringing our total for the year to date to just over 90mm (less than four inches). The average rainfall for Forbes to June is 244.7mm or nine inches.
Forecasters expect the week to dry out, with a chance of frost in the mornings and daytime temperatures up to 17 degrees later in the week.
