The garage sale is taking place inside the Band Hall in Rankin Street between 8am and 1pm.
Band members will be operating a plant stall and a cooking stall and they will be selling vegetables and preserves.
There will also be quality bric-a-brac, books, furniture and a drum kit for sale.
Funds raised by the garage sale will assist with running costs associated with being a community band.
The band is hoping to purchase summer uniforms for warm weather performances.
The garage sale is also attempting to raise money to pay for maintenance costs for a number of instruments.
The Forbes Town Band rehearses every Monday at the Band Hall on 165, Rankin Street.
The beginners rehearsal begins at 6pm, while the Town Band rehearses from 7pm to 9pm.
Musicians can hire an instrument for $50 a year, band membership is $20 per year.
The Town Band often performs concerts in the band rotunda and historic Forbes Town Hall and combined music events with bands from other towns.
Most recently, the Forbes Town Band performed a concert with the Symphonic Wind Orchestra at the Town Hall.
If any one would like to know more information about band events please contact Band master James Whalan at the Forbes Conservatorium of Music.
