Up against Brian Tisdell the game turned out to be a marathon of 38 ends of outstanding bowls.
Asimus shot away to an early lead of 17-5 at the 11th end but Tisdell started to get his game together and it was 23-13 at the 22nd end. From there it became an arm wrestle with each player either moving the jack or the opponent’s bowl to claim the end.
At the 35th end Asimus lead 30-24 but in bowls 30 never won the game and Tisdell picked up three more shots before Asimus picked up the shot he needed to win the Championship 31-17. Congratulations Spro and commiserations Brian Tisdell.
