The Gooloogong Historical Society, which has been recording the village’s history, celebrates its 30th anniversary on October 13 and 14.

The group will be hosting the community at the Historical Rooms, Hotel Building on Main Street, Gooloogong from 9am to 4pm on both days.
The Historical Society will be hosting historian Max Thomas on Saturday, October 13.
Mr Thomas will be speaking on the history of Gooloogong and district.
Also, as part of the celebrations, on Saturday, October 13 the Cowra Musical and Dramatical Society will perform two short radio plays.
Tickets to the performances are $15 each and must be pre-purchased.
On Sunday, October 14 the Historical Society will host a presentation by Cowra Mayor Bill West and a performance by Wiradjuri dance group Dinawan’s Connection performing in Memorial Park.
