Students from the shire’s four primary schools spent three days together grass skiing, rock climbing and orienteering.
The annual combined Year 5 excursion is supported by Forbes Shire Council who work with the Office of Sport to ensure as many students as possible can attend, along with Evolution Mining.
It’s an opportunity for them to meet and make connections before they head to high school.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for young students to learn new skills and form new friendships, and a great way to encourage kids to get away from their screens for a while,” Council General Manager Steve Loane said.
