The hay runners deliver precious loads of hay for stock to areas in desperate need.
While people donate hay, trucks and time, hay runs also require fuel.
The local mechanic is hoping to raise fuel money for the hay runners at an auction on Friday July 20.

The auction will take place on July 20, between 6pm and 7pm, all are welcome and encouraged to come along on the night and support the cause.
The Burrumbuttock Hay Runners was started in 2013 by Brendan Farrell to help farmers who are facing hardship in the face of severe drought.
Since then Mr Farrell and the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners have completed 13 hay runs, all the while trying to raise money to put fuel in the trucks.
In an interview with the The Land Mr Farrell said they’ve tried to help as many farmers as they possibly can.
They’ve delivered hay to 12,500 farmers so far.
Their largest hay runs have involved as many as 500 volunteers, with 258 truckloads forming a very welcome convoy in drought-hit regions.
The hay runners know the hay they deliver will only provide temporary relief, but it’s also about showing farmers people are aware and care about the tough conditions they’re facing. You can find out more about them at hayrunners.com
