Farmers and their families are being invited to dinner.

St John’s Anglican Church is organising a free dinner for farming families in a show of support.

Reverend Crystal Spindler said the church, as a community, needed to do something.

“The whole aim is that we want the farmers to know we are here for them and value everything they do,” Reverend Crystal said.

The meal, which includes a roast dinner and dessert, is being hosted at St John’s Anglican Church hall on Friday, September 21.

Reverend Crystal said the support is also for the families as they struggle with the farmer as well.

“Everyone knows there is a hard life out there,” she said.

Reverend Crystal said people needed to gather together in tough times to help support each other.
