Businesses have generously dug deep and donated towards an auction to raise funds for the project, and it all comes together this Friday.
K and H Design is hosting an information session about the farm rescue project at 7pm at their premises in Rankin Street,
This is your chance to find out more about it.
Head next door to Sylo by 7.45pm to register for the auction to start at 8pm.
Ms Lowe says the generosity of those wanting to support our farmers has been overwhelming.
Tradies have put their hands up to leave their businesses and lend a hand on local farms, businesses have donated everything from hair makeovers to a kitchen.
There are lounges, tyres, batteries, far too many items to list says Ms Lowe.
All funds raised will go directly to farming families, to ease the pressures on them by taking care of jobs around the house or farm.
Their aim is to fix up those things that farm owners don’t have the time or finances for while they’re flat out buying in feed and feeding livestock day in, day out.
“We want to pump vital money into the town, help local businesses with our purchases and at the same time lift the spirit of farmers doing it tough,” the Farm Rescue website explains.
Farming families are urged to nominate at farmrescue.com.au
You can also anonymously nominate someone in need through the website.
