Our quarterly meeting in Condobolin in May was more of a social occasion as business matters were mainly centred around the State AGM in Bathurst that weekend. The Golden West Sub-branch was well represented and a full report will be given in West Wyalong on Sunday August 19.

I promised to give an brief outline of the National Servicemen's Association history. The Association was formed in Queensland in 1987 and now has branches in all States and ACT.
Most members are also members and executives of the R.S.L. sub-branches.
On January 20, 2002 the first meeting of the re-constituted Golden West sub-branch, took place at the Forbes Services Memorial Club in Forbes. Meetings were arranged to rotate, on a quarterly basis, between Forbes, Condobolin and West Wyalong and, for a period of time, Tottenham.
As with most organisations, the Association has experienced difficulties, but has survived through the determination of a small number. By Bruce Howard
