The Red Bend Catholic College Under 15’s rugby league team will join some of the best school-aged rugby league teams from regional NSW when they contest the finals of the CRL High Schools Country Cup at Dubbo on Wednesday.

The Under 15’s side will be facing off against St Edwards College, Gosford at Dubbo’s Apex Park.
This year saw 400 schools competing in the annual competition, with Red Bend hosting one of the early rounds of Western competition for all age groups in May.
The College 15s went on to win their western final with a 22-20 victory over St John’s Dubbo.
They travelled to Cootamundra for the semi-finals where they defeated Hennesy 24 – 8 and Edmund Rice 18-10 to be named Southern Country Cup champions and claim a place in Wednesday’s finals at Dubbo.
Team Coach Pat Cleal, said the players were very excited and keen to get stuck in to the game on Wednesday.
Red Bend will be kicking off their final match against St Edwards College at 9am.
Red Bend Catholic College’s Under 13’s side was knocked out of the competition early on in the first round. While the College’s Open side was kocked out in the semi-finals stage at Cootamundra.
