Results of the Forbes S.S.A.A. sporting shooters monthly shoot held on Saturday August 11. There were 9 shooters in attendance for the 75 target five stand non graded handicap shoot. The weather was warm with a south westerly breeze and a temperature of 21degrees.
The results 75 target five stand non graded handicap shoot on Saturday were;
Andrew Webb (Bathurst hcp 5) 24-23-22 total 69 hcp total 84; Doug Davis (Fbs hcp 9) 20-16-19 total 55 hcp total 83; Anthony Bratton (hcp 10) 17-16-15 total 48 hcp total 78; Laurie Redfern (Fbs hcp 5) 19-18-22 total 59 hcp total 74; Phil Cleal (Fbs hcp 9) 21-14-15 total 50 hcp total 71; Norm Brook (Fbs hcp 9) 15-15-14 total 44 hcp total 71; Ben Smith (Fbs hcp 14) 6-9-12 total 27 hcp total 69; Adrian Hodges (Fbs hcp 8) 17-14-12 total 43 hcp total 67; Cameron Smith (Junior hcp 14) 14-14-9 total 37 hcp total 7.
The attendance for the Tim Lynch Memorial shoot was very disappointing with only 6 shooters taking part, members who attended came from Forbes and Condobolin.
The weather was cold with a very strong southerly wind and a temperature of 12degrees.
Results of the Tim Lynch Memorial shoot on Sunday, August 12: AA grade, Laurie Redfern (Fbs) 13-16-20-19 total 68.
A grade, Phil Cleal (Fbs) 15-14-13-11 total 53.
B grade, Leigh Dridan (Condobolin) 15-17-17-19 total 68; Norm Brook (Fbs) 15-13-10-13 total 51; Anthony Bratton 12-10-12-14 total 48.
C grade Paul Baker (Fbs) 11-9-10-10 total 40.
The trophy winners were Laurie Redfern, Phil Cleal, Leigh Dridan and Paul Baker.
The next shoot for the sporting clay's will be the monthly shoot on Sunday, September 9 starting at 1pm, this shoot will be a 75 target handicap field shoot will start at 1pm. Depending on numbers a five stand non graded handicap shoot may be held.

Any Person wishing to obtain a long arm firearm licence can contact Wayne Facey on 0414524059, Norm Brook or Tony Bratton to do a firearm safe shooting assessment course which is a requirement.
The next sporting shooters .22 calibre and other rimfire rifle (.22 magnum or .17HMR) shoot will be this Sunday, August 19 starting at 10am.
The next Wednesday shoot will be on September 5 starting at 3pm.
All target shooters are welcome to attend these shoots.
Any person wishing to try rifle or shotgun shooting can attend any of these shoots to take part after filling out a P650 form at the club.
Junior shooters must be 12 years or over.
