Dragon boat paddling is a great way to meet new people and have fun while enjoying our beautiful lake.
Anyone wanting to come and have a go at paddling is welcome to join in.
Bring a friend or come on your own, you will be very welcome.
Whether it’s just a recreational paddle, fitness or you want to compete in regattas during the season, join us for a fun morning on sunday or any time in the season.
We meet at the dragon boat shed behind Forbes Sport and Recreation Club in Lachlan Street on Sunday mornings at 8.15am for a warm up before hitting the water at 8.30am and finishing at 9.30am.
During daylight saving we also paddle on Thursday evenings from 6pm to 7pm.
Wear warm clothing that is flexible so that your arms can move and footwear with closed toes, either joggers or water shoes, no thongs.
This is a water sport so shoes may get wet.
Bring a water bottle, hat, sunglasses and willingness to have a go.
Beginners have three come-and-try sessions which cost $5 each to cover insurance.
Then if you decide to become a regular paddlers you can join the club for the whole season.
So don’t put it off any longer.
Grab a friend or family member and come and give paddling a try, we would love to introduce you to this exciting water sport.
