Tuesday will be the hottest day for most of the region with the mercury set to soar as high as 27 degrees in Forbes and Wellington.
It will be a tad cooler in Cowra, Nyngan and Parkes with a top of 26 degrees predicted, while Grenfell and Young should reach a top of 24.
Bureau of Meteorology data shows Bathurst is set to reach 23, with Oberon 22 and Lithgow 20.
While the mercury is predicted to stay warm for the working week, some locations, however, will get even hotter on Friday.
Wellington is set to soar to 28 degrees while Parkes and Nyngan should reach 27.
It follows a weekend of rain for much of the region, with one centre receiving almost 30 millimetres.
The Bureau of Meteorology’s spring outlook released at the end of August shows region’s dry conditions are likely to continue.
“Unfortunately, our outlooks show odds favouring a drier and warmer than average spring for many areas,” Bureau of Meteorology manager of long range forecasting Dr Andrew Watkins said.
Meanwhile, the entire state remains drought declared, with 11.8 per cent of NSW in intense drought.
