The event is a chance for farmers and community members to gather for a night of fun and boost morale. The night will also be a fundraiser for local drought relief.
Organisers have partnered with Drought Angels, a regional charity that provides stock feed, financial and moral support to farming families in times of natural disasters.
Event Organiser, Lou Green, said money raised during the Farmers’ Ball is going to a good cause.
“It’s for a good cause and helping support an organisation which is supporting our farmers.”
There are still tickets available for people to attend, but ticket sales close on October 6.

The black-tie event is for the over 18s, tickets are $150 and includes walking entrees and a limited open bar. There’ll be food, entertainment and a special feature, painting by Sydney artist Ken Tucker.
Mr Tucker will complete a painting of a local landscape, to be auctioned for Drought Angels, live at the Ball. A signed Australian Rugby Union jersey will also be auctioned off at the event.
Ms Green said there will also be a silent auction on the night, with items to be made available on the Farmers’ Ball Facebook page in the lead up to the event.
You can also support the cause by buying tickets in the raffle of a 2018 Honda Pioneer 500 donated by Frank Spice. There are 200 tickets available at $100 each and can be purchased at the Forbes Golf and Sportsman Hotel.
All proceeds raised from the Farmers’ Ball, auction and raffle will go to the Drought Angels.
Ms Green said anyone who is a primary producer and in need can apply for assistance on the Drought Angels’ website.
Ms Green has travelled around the region, including Trundle, Nevertire, Hay and Nyngan providing help as a ‘drought angel’.
“Drought Angels help on a case by case basis. Sometimes it’s stock feed, utilities, groceries, but mostly it is just to chat.”
Ms Green said these chats usually focus on drought management strategies and linking people to other needed services.
