The farming community welcomed rain last week those with young children will welcome the news Forbes Pre School will waive its fees for Term 4 as it seeks to help drought-affected families.
The pre school board made the decision to make Term 4 fee free, seeking to help those families directly impacted by the drought and the wider community.
While the pre school does have a large number of children from farms attending, they know the whole community is affected when the agricultural sector is doing it tough.
“We wanted to do something really nice for our families,” Sarah Davies said.
“There are a lot of farming families in pre school.
“Everyone is doing it tough.
“We hope people will go and spend those fees somewhere in town.”

The funds will be used to buy cuddle blankets for the little ones to snuggle up with if they need a nap while at preschool.
