Former players Neville Glover, Steven Edge, Kevin Thompson and Stan Cutler were touring the region as part of the Men of League Foundation’s Tackling the Drought Tour.

Also joining them at the Ron Lynch Bowls Day was former player Ted Goodwin, who helped coach a Magpies side to the grand finals in 1987, his son Luke Goodwin, organiser Bruce Walker and John Peard.
As part of the Tackling the Drought Tour, the Men of League toured Parkes, hosting a “Kick-off Club” meet and greet and a coaching clinic for aspiring rugby league stars.
The Men of League traveled to Cowra for the Cowra Memorial Challenge, before heading to Forbes for the Ron Lynch Bowls Day.

Forbes Sports and Recreation Club Manager Norm Cook said they had a decent turnout with 84 bowlers competing in the triples competition.
The winning side for the day included John Taylor, Fred Vogelsang and Tony Osborne.
Mr Cook said the proceeds of the day will go to the Men of League Foundation to support their efforts.
Men of League Foundation New South Wales Manager, Bruce Walker, said the Tackling the Drought Tour was aimed at helping those people who were doing it tough.
