The Forbes Amateur Swimming Club Inc celebrates a milestone this year, its 80th anniversary.

To celebrate, a carnival will be held over the weekend of November 24 and 25, with more than $5,000 in cash, medals and trophies to be won.

One of the major highlights planned for the carnival celebration weekend is the running of the open men’s and ladies $600 Dash for Cash and the 14 years and under boys and girls $300 Dash for Cash.

That’s a total $1,800 in prize money up for grabs just in the Dash for Cash.

The Forbes Amateur Swimming Club committee welcomes swimmers of all abilities to join the friendly, family orientated club.

Everyone is welcome to registration night on October 18 at 6pm which will include fun activities plus a barbecue at the Forbes Olympic Pool.

Squad training commences Monday October 22nd under the guidance of qualified coaches Kay Playforth, Narelle Shaw and Sonia Dukes.

The first Club night time trials is set for Thursday October 25.

Another exciting highlight of the 80th year celebration will be the official opening of the new club house.

We look forward to a productive 2018-2019 season, where swimmers progressively improve on their personal best.
