Forbes Auto Sports Club’s Daroobalgie track was abuzz on the weekend, with riders from all over the region here for two big days of racing.

Some 112 riders, from the Pee Wee Nippers through to adults, signed up for Saturday’s motocross meeting, another 58 riders contested Sunday’s dirt track meeting.
It was a hugely successful weekend for the club, riders came from Canberra, Bathurst, Orange, Young and Condobolin, and all the smaller communities in between.
Committee member Jennifer Horan said they had a lot of happy campers, who plan to return in future.
Local riders featured heavily in Sunday’s dirt track results.
Sam Drane was fastest in the 65cc seven years and under nine, with Hugh Hope-Hodgetts hot on his heels for second place.
Those two Forbes riders also took out first and second in the junior trail category, with Holly Hope-Hodgetts securing third place.
Beau Bailey claimed honours in the nine years and under 12 85cc category, he also placed third in the 65cc nine years and under 13.
Tom Drane took out the 85cc class in 12 years and under 16.
Blake Maslin claimed first place in the junior light, second in the 250cc class 13 years and under 16.
Clint McDonald was fastest in the Classic Unlimited class, and picked up a third in the Senior Light.
Forbes riders to feature in Saturday’s motocross results were Andy Stibbard, who picked up first in the open 450cc and second in the All-power A Grade.
Jono Collits came in third in the All power A grade and Senior Light A Grade.
Ellie Tomlinson took out the senior ladies win.
Tom Morrison claimed third in the Senior Light B Grade.
A couple of young local riders took to the track in the non-competitive Pee-Wee Nippers class, Jackson Beaudin and Eddie White.
