Dean tops sporting shooters

Results of the S.S.A.A. sporting shooters .22 calibre rimfire rifle shoot on Wednesday, October 31. The weather was hot with a north east breeze at 8kph. This shoot was a Fox target shoot held over 25 metres with a maximum score of 270, using a .22 calibre rimfire rifle fitted with a scope, a 50 metre Crow target shoot with a maximum score of 250, and the 75 metre Mosquito target shoot with a maximum score of 120.    

The range officers were; John Dean and Brian Neilsen.

The scorers were; John Dean and Ken Morley. 

Results of the 25metre Fox target shoot were; John Dean, 280/280; Ian Keene, 280/280; Ken Morley, 280/280; Brian Neilsen, 274/280; Dennis Finn, 272/280 and Damien White, 261/280.

Results of the 50metre Crow target shoot were; John Dean, 247/250; Ken Morley, 246/250; Ian Keene, 242/250; Brian Neilsen, 237/250; Dennis Finn, 234/250 and Damien White, 232/250.

Results of the 75metre Mosquito target shoot were; John Dean, 114/120; Ken Morley, 109/120; Ian Keene, 109/120; Brian Neilsen, 106/120; Dennis Finn, 93/120 and Damien White, 80/120. 

Results of the .22 calibre rimfire rifle shoot on Sunday, November 4. The weather was warm with a light breeze from the north east at 6kph. This shoot was a .22 target shoot held over 25 metres with a maximum score of 250 points, using a .22 calibre rimfire rifle fitted with a scope, a 50 metre Fox target shoot with a maximum score of 250 points, and the 75 metre Rabbit target shoot with a maximum score of 120 points.    

The range officers were; David Coleman and Wayne Facey.

David Coleman, 243/250; Doug Shead, 230/250; Mal Smith, 222/250; Jane Coleman, 207/250; Josh Cuskelly, 194/250 and Daimen White, 140/250.

The results of the 75metre Rabbit target shoot were; Garry Parslow, 108/120; John Dean, 105/120;  Allan Belcher, 96/120; Daimen White, 90/120; David Coleman, 88/120; Wayne Facey, 83/120; Doug Shead, 83/120; Jane Coleman, 74/120 and Josh Cuskelly, 67/120.  

The next .22 calibre and other rimfire rifle (.22 magnum or .17HMR) shoot will be on Sunday, November 18  at 10am. The next Wednesday shoot will be on November 21 at 3pm.

All target shooters are welcome. Anyone wishing to try rifle or shotgun shooting can take part after filling out a P650 form at the club. Junior shooters must be 12 years or over.

The next shoot for the sporting clays will be the monthly shoot on Sunday, November 11.This will be a 75 target non graded handicap five stand shoot starting at 1pm.
