Plans for this year’s Find it in Forbes Christmas promotion and carnival are coming together and organisers believe it will be one of the best.

Businesses who are participating in this year’s Find it in Forbes promotion have received posters and tickets, you get a chance to win a share in a $20,000 prize pool with every purchase over $10 at a participating business.
“A timber Christmas Tree identifies each participating business – where there is a tree there are tickets!” chair Marg Duggan said.
“Make sure you ask for your shopping tickets if you are not offered them.”
There will be 10 $500 prizes, five $1000 prizes, one $3000 prize, one $2000 prize and one $5000 prize.
Ten $500 draws will occur at the Christmas festival, from 6.30pm on December 14. The major draw is on Christmas Eve.
Collect and submit your tickets at any of the participating businesses, winners can redeem their win at the major sponsors and participating businesses.
“The Find It In Forbes Promotion will run from the 19th November until 10.30am on the 24 December,” Mrs Duggan said.
“The Forbes Business Chamber would like to thank the sponsors, participants and supporters for assisting to make this Forbes promotion such a success.”
Forbes Shire Council is the AMAZING sponsor and Forbes Services Memorial Club the Gold Sponsor.
Carpet Court is the silver sponsor for the second year. The Bronze sponsor category was introduced this year and has Central West Diesel, Little Extras and Bernardis.
The Christmas Carnival Committee continues to work hard with a new carnival layout for the festival on December 14.
“This year’s mechanical entertainment includes the Karaitiana’s giant jumping castle and tea-cups ride,” Mrs Duggan said.
“Hector the Mechanical bucking Bull will be travelling from Woodstock for the event.”
There is lots more for kids to do such as street art, giant game activities, sandpit, water-play area and an activity tent.
For the big kids there are lots of exciting stalls as well as extended hours at our local businesses to get the Christmas shopping done.
The committee is excited to have some of the Forbes cafes and food businesses open for the event.
This year’s Christmas Carnival will see the introduction of Greek food, a smoking barbecue, popcorn by the Forbes Youth Group, slushies, cheesecake, coffee and a good old Aussie barbecue.
