Tim Perry (Forbes Central), along with Steve Chester (Parkes HQ), and Jesse Humphries (East Parkes) flew to Queensland on Friday.
Queensland firefighters have fought hundreds of bushfires during the emergency and thousands of people have been forced out of their homes in central and northern Queensland.
Fire fighters have been facing horror conditions – hot, dry and windy.
The crew has shared some news of their work on the Forbes Central Brigade Facebook page: they spent a night carrying out back burning and property protection, a second night patrolling the fire edge putting out spot fires.
Superintendent Ken Neville said they were due home on Monday and another crew from the Mid Lachlan Valley, including Forbes’ Ron Hocking, was heading north.
