There’s a full program of entertainment from talented locals, and activities for the kids including a giant jumping castle and Hector the mechanical bucking bull.
Another new event is the water bucket relay: the fire brigade will be there to fill the buckets, you’ll be carrying them less than 30 metres. Enter your teams of two at Bowns Sportspower or by emailing Ian@sportspower1 – there are gift cards for the winners.
Organisers are excited to have some local cafes and food businesses opening. There will also be more than 30 stalls and organisers are excited for the introduction of Greek food, a smoking BBQ, popcorn by the Forbes Youth Group, slushies, cheesecake, coffee as well as a barbecue.
Ten winners in the Find it in Forbes Christmas promotion will be drawn, each receiving a $500 Why Leave Town card.
Keep your eye out for the pallet Christmas trees that indicate participating businesses and make sure you collect your tickets to be in the running for the prizes. There is a total $20,000 to be won, including five $1000 prizes, one $3000, one $2000 and one $5000 draw.
