Sinclair’s CenWest Tours take buses around the local Christmas lights displays, driven by none other than Santa himself and raising funds for CanAssist.
With the popular tours once again booked out, Mel has shared his tips for taking in the best of the town’s Christmas lights displays.
If you’d like to form a convoy and check out the lights, the tours leave the Town Hall bus stop at 8.45pm each evening from now through to Christmas Eve.
Tour guide Santa says that’s the best time, just as it gets dark, to see the lights at their best.
His recommended route takes in Wambat and Bathurst streets, Ferry Street, Margaret Street and Clarence Street.
He then heads out to Edward Street (and do not miss the house in Windsor Street!), Jacaranda and over to Patterson and Grenfell Street.
The grand finale on Santa’s tour is the Forbes CBD with all the beautiful lights now on display. This tour will take you a little over an hour.
