Bright Beginnings Early Learning Centre Director, Kym Goodall, said the Centre already had a play boat for the children which was falling apart due to age and they reached out to the Men’s Shed to see if they could lend a hand.
Men’s Shed president Norm Haley said they try to help out the community and that building this boat was a different type of challenge for them.
“We would like to thank Bright Beginnings for the opportunity to help,” he said.
The Men’s Shed is a meeting place for local men of all ages.
They play cards, work on furniture restoration projects and work on other community projects.
Currently a new purpose-built facility for the Forbes Men’s Shed is under construction. More information on the Men’s Shed’s new facility on page 5.
