The ANU Archives has a new online exhibition showcasing the history of Tooth and Company, a significant New South Wales brewer, and the many hotels it owned and supplied throughout the state.
They include Forbes’ Albion Hotel, Australia Hotel, Commercial Hotel, Empire Hotel, Forbes Hotel, Forbes Inn Hotel (ex Club House Hotel), Globe Hotel, Metropolitan Hotel, Post Office Hotel, Royal Hotel, Tattersalls Hotel, Vandenberg Hotel, Victoria Hotel, South Forbes Hotel; Eugowra’s Central Hotel and Fat Lamb Hotel (ex Club House Hotel).
This exhibit is available online along with an interactive map.
From the map you can see photographs and other information about hotels on 'yellow cards', index cards the company kept about its own hotels and those of its competitors.
