The three three-dimensional panels, inspired by local landscapes, took shape over a number of days during a school holiday workshop this week.
Artist Rudy Kistler was happy with the way the murals have transformed the wall.
At the height of the four day painting, 12 local kids went down to the Youth and Community Centre to lend a hand.
They worked early to avoid the worst of this week’s heat, and managed the finish the work in shorter than expected time.
If you’re looking for more school holiday fun, the Youth and Community Centre is offering a movie and trivia afternoon.
The event runs from 12pm to 5pm on January 22 and begins with an airing of Moana. After the screening, guests are invited to test their trivia skills.
The giant inflatable will be at the Olympic pool on January 25 – it will be set up from 10am to 2pm. Regular pool entry fees apply.
