The Lachlan Street pharmacy collected a number of accolades at Friday night’s Evolution Mining Boscars, including Employer of Choice.
Debbie Prior was named Business Leader of the Year, Michelle Grace was named Employee of the Year.
Life Pharmacy was awarded the Excellence in Innovation Award (more page 11).
Pharmacist and proprietor for Flannery’s Pharmacy and Life Pharmacy Sarah Hazell was overwhelmed by the end of the evening, and paid tribute to the pharmacy’s team of staff.
“It’s our goal that the community of Forbes, when they come into Flannery’s Pharmacy, feel welcome and comfortable in the environment, and experience service with a wealth of knowledge, a friendly face and a professional service,” she said.
“It’s our wonderful team that deliver on our goals and vision each and every day and we are so proud of our achievements and what these wonderful people do.”
A wonderful team, built on a strong foundation, has been key to the pharmacy’s success.
Flannery’s has been established in the Forbes community for more than 60 years, evolving from a partnership between Ron Flannery and Joe Finn.
Ron’s son Michael continues as an owner of the business, with Mrs Hazell who joined the partnership in 2006.
“Many of you would remember Ron, we’re very grateful for the wonderful business that he started and I know Michael is just going to be absolutely thrilled by this,” Mrs Hazell said on Friday night.
Mrs Hazell congratulated her team, highlighting the leadership of Debbie Prior and the professional services of pharmacist in charge Tracey Edwards.
“I think the success of our team is that we enjoy working together, we enjoy socialising together, and we support each other,” she said.
Mrs Hazell also thanked the pharmacy’s many customers, and the organisers of the Boscars – the Forbes Business Chamber’s annual night of nights.
“What a wonderful evening, and congratulations to all the other award recipients,” Mrs Hazell said.
