Tuppy our president welcomed 39 members and handed the chair to Alister Lockhart to capably handle the election of officers for the coming year.
Tuppy gave a comprehensive report of the happenings during last year covering the many aspects of guest speakers trips etc.
The election of office bearers for the coming year are as follows:
President Tuppy Drabsch; vice president Janette Thomas; secretary Meg Scholefield, assistant Annette Thornton; treasurer Alison Lockhart, assistant Zelma Grayson; publicity officer Elvy Quirk; public officer Anne Hodges; events coordinator Janette Thomas.
Also elected were several members for other minor positions.
This year looks like being another busy year and already it was decided to have a new look for a meeting with a lunch prior to the meeting on March 26 at the Vandenberg Hotel.
Names for lunch are to be with Annette Thornton by March 19 phone 0268523542, arrival by 11.45am for midday lunch.
Cost to be paid on the day.
Our further meeting on April 23 will be at the home of Janette and Max Thomas.
During the month of October we will hold our open gardens and we are currently looking for residents who would like to nominate their garden in this respect.
