This year's event was the biggest yet with 1005 people gathering to celebrate Forbes Rugby, raise funds and have a great day out.
Forbes Rugby Club President's Lunch Committee Chair Chris Sweeney said it was a hugely successful event and a great day, helped by very generous weather.
Mr Sweeney said the day saw people come from far and wide for the chance to hear from guest speaker Anh Do, catch up with old friends and support local rugby.
"People came from far and wide," he said.
"From Moree to the Victorian border. Bourke to Sydney and everywhere in between."
An incredibly popular speaker and guest, Anh Do entertained the crowd with anecdotes from his life.
Mr Do touched on growing up in Australia after emigrating from Vietnam as a child and upon meeting his wife.
Mr Sweeney said Mr Do was a 'tremendous speaker'.
The President's Lunch is the rugby union club's major fundraiser and this year has raised $40,000.
Mr Sweeney said they raised this large amount thanks to the very generous support of this year's auction, which included a number of big-ticket items.
The President's lunch attendees were able to bid on a painting "Wallabies and Waratahs" by local artist Rosie Johnston, a Wallabies jersey as well as an Old Boys Cauliflower Cup jersey signed by Wally Lewis, Michael O'Connor and Ricky Stewart.
A dinner for 10 at Ester restaurant in Sydney and another at Eat Your Greens in Eugowra was up for grabs.
Also offered at the auction was a race weekend package in Mudgee.
The Forbes Rugby Union Club traditionally supports community causes, with an announcement to be made about distribution of this year's funds to be made in the coming months.
The event continues to grow, and go from strength to strength, so we'll be sure to let you know as plans for the 2020 event start to come together.
