Member for Orange Phil Donato visited to announce a $14,000 Community Building Partnership Program grant to go towards replacing the clubhouse roof.
But exciting work is also underway to resurface four of the courts - those on the lower Lake Forbes end of the complex - as part of more than a million dollars in funding given for Lake Forbes beautification.
Overall, club president Peter Clifton said, the work will beautify and upgrade the tennis complex, with the roofing work necessary to keep the building in good condition.
"It's quite an old building and some nails are starting to lift," he said. "We want to fix it up before it's too big a problem."
The club's Trevor Drury said the club house was built in the 1940s and he believed the roof would be the original.
The area next to the clubhouse will be landscaped to allow for seating.
Mr Donato said he was proud to support the funding application.
The club hosts a graded night competition on Tuesdays through summer and the courts are also used for hockey.
They have an intertown competition in winter, teams tournament in August, and junior development series tournament.
In the school holidays, the club will host a junior social doubles event.
