The annual competition and all-round fun day is in the usual format, with teams of four invited to enter at the golf club for the ambrose competition.
Nomination sheets are available at the Pro Shop and the most favoured times are being snapped up.
Although the "world championship" is on the line it's a day for anyone with any capability to enjoy a round of golf with their mates just like Greg did.
Sanderson was one of three local members of the Forbes Platypi rugby union team killed in the Bali bombings on October 12, 2002.
The golf day honours his memory along with Paul Cronin and Brad Ridley and fellow members of the rugby union team who were in Bali on their end-of-season trip at the time.
Funds are donated to the Kuta International Disaster Scholarship.
The Forbes event has raised more than $100,000 for the charity, which helps educate children in Bali who lost parents in the bombings, since its inception in 2003 when 13 golfers played an individual event won by Greg's father Ray Sanderson.
