This year the commemorative address will be given by retired serviceman Scott Stephens.
Mr Stephens joined the Australian Defence Force after finishing high school in Forbes and served in the army and Australia's Federation Guard for 14 years.
The Federation Guard is a tri-service ceremonial unit with representatives from the army, navy and airforce.
Before being appointed Officer Commanding Australia's Federation Guard in 2016, Mr Stephens had served in several roles in the military.
His military service saw him head to Afghanistan as part of Operation Slipper.
Since retiring from the military 18 months ago, Mr Stephens has been based in Canberra where he works as a professional consultant for the defence industry.
Mr Stephens said his commemorative address at the mid-morning service this Thursday will reflect on what Anzac Day means to different generations of servicemen and women and how their experiences shape their views.
Local observations of the day will commence at 5.30am with the dawn service, at the cenotaph in Victoria Park.
Forbes' 2019 Anzac Day commemorations will follow the traditional format, beginning with the solemn dawn service at 5.30am.
Service personnel who would like to march in the morning are asked to gather at the Forbes Services Memorial Club at 5.15am.
The march to the cenotaph will commence at 5.20am for the service.
The mid-morning march commences from Cross Street and will proceed down Lachlan Street through the town centre to the cenotaph at Victoria Park for a 10.30am service.
Marchers are asked to assemble in Cross Street at 10am, the march will commence at 10.15am.
Forbes Diggers Harness Racing Club will also host an Anzac Day service at their afternoon pace meeting.
The day will close with the lowering of the flag at the cenotaph at 5pm.

- Rural Fire Services.
- SES Members and Safety Vehicle.
Breakfast and lunch are available at the Forbes Services Memorial Club bistro at your own cost, with two-up from 2.30pm
