But coach Cameron Greenhalgh reckons they'll have to tick all the boxes to enjoy similar success when they host Dubbo CYMS this weekend.
The two wins are a sign that things are starting to fall into place for the side that will defend the premiership.
Former Irish international Josh Toole played his first game at Spooner Oval last Sunday, scoring three early tries as the hosts headed for a solid 48-24 win against Narromine. But it wasn't a solo effort.
"We clicked into gear a bit," Greenhalgh said.
"We still had a couple of lapses, which we need to fix.
"Narromine was solid, which we expected. They have big forwards: we knew we needed to match that and we did."
The Magpies have been focussed on starting well, and they achieved that, but the coach acknowledged lapses later in each half.
Against the unbeaten CYMS this weekend, the hosts will need to play the full 80 minutes, he said. They need a bigger share of possession.
All the signs are positive, with excellent numbers and more players coming on board. Brydon Ramien will return this weekend, he was on board for Forbes' first-round game at Spooner Oval.
"We've got a few more players coming on in the next few weeks but the blokes who are there are doing the job," Greenhalgh said.
Games at Spooner Oval this Sunday, league tag kicks off 11am.
